FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the Morton Arboretum?

The Morton Arboretum is located in Lisle, Illinois, about 25 minutes from O’Hare International Airport.  This renowned 1,700-acre outdoor museum of trees was founded in 1922 by Joy Morton, the founder of the Morton Salt Company, with the mission to collect and study trees, shrubs, and plants from around the world and to promote the importance of trees in our environment.  The Arboretum is home to more than 222,000 living plants representing over 4,100 species from across the globe. It serves as a critical resource for conservation and tree research.

We couldn’t imagine a more ideal setting for our first ALIGN Summit!  The Morton Arboretum isn’t just a beautiful venue—it’s a meaningful partner in creating an experience that ‘aligns’ with the Summit’s goals of purpose, healing, and consciousness. These inspiring surroundings will enhance every moment of the ALIGN Summit, leaving you with a sense of renewal and connection that we hope will stay with you long after the event.

Yes, the Firefly Pavilion at the Morton Arboretum.  Firefly Pavilion is a beautiful, open-air event space nestled within the Arboretum’s lush grounds. Surrounded by open space, magnificent trees and gardens, the Pavilion provides a tranquil and elegant setting for our gathering. Its modern yet natural design seamlessly blends with the outdoor environment, making it the ideal backdrop for an event that celebrates connection, reflection, and inspiration.

Please note, the Pavilion is a three-season facility, and it is not equipped with standard heat and air conditioning systems.  The Arboretum will provide portable heating or cooling units, weather dependent.  That said, it’s important to come prepared.  We recommend wearing layers so you can adjust to the early fall temperature shifts typical in the area at this time of year. September is typically the most beautiful month of the year in Chicago, but the weather can be unpredictable.  We also highly recommend bringing an umbrella and rain jacket, just in case, as we will not be able to provide those for you. You should use Parking Lot 1 on the east grounds.  If you are using a car service, it is recommended that you head through Parking Lot 1 to be dropped off at the Visitor Center building.  From the Visitor Center, it will be about a 4 minute walk to the Firefly Pavilion.
